Seto-yaki cups originally used for kaiseki cuisine.

Matcha bowl with a modern and timeless silhouette. Enjoy the tone of the cup in contrast to the rich green of the matcha. While intended for matcha, it can also be used for various dishes. The bowl will come inside the kiri paulownia box. The artisan employs a 12th-century technique of Bizen pottery, known for firing without any glaze. While using the same clay soil in all his pieces, the various textures and colors appear based on where they sit in the kiln. The shirahana series is fired in a kerosene kiln to maintain the neutral tone of the ware. In contrast, the bizen red-toned vessels are fired in a wood-fired noborigama ascending kiln, which adds unique texture and luster to the ware.
